B & J Farms started in 1983 as a family run business, ten years later diversifying into Pigeon Feed when BJF Feeds was formed. First just selling straight grains but a few years later mixing their own corns. By 2000 the business had expanded rapidly and a new fully computer controlled mixing plant was installed.
Farming still remains a large part of the BJF business, harvesting many crops for use in their Pigeon corns. BJF Feeds are fully affiliated to the Assured Combinable Crops Producing Trust (Red Tractor Scheme) which assures food safety standards throughout the chain. The Red Tractor farm scheme monitors and constantly assesses quality and ensures good agricultural practice across the industry.
