Equi-Ping Safety Release

Equi-Ping Safety Release allows handlers to safely tether their horse whilst at home or to a trailer/horsebox when away from the yard.

Under normal circumstances the Equi-Ping keeps the horse tethered safely and only comes into play if the horse panics for some reason and pulls back sharply.

Equi-Ping is designed to ‘ping’ open at this point helping to minimise potentially serious injuries if the horse continues to struggle. The unique design has been robustly tested in a professional racing yard to ensure its reliability and effectiveness.

This stable equipment product comes in a range of colours and is a must have piece of safety kit. It’s safer than string, time after time.

How to use your Equi-Ping Safety Release

We recommend the Equi-Ping is attached to a metal tethering ring which is securely fastened to something sturdy and strong.

The Equi-Ping now comes with a security sleeve that slides over the mechanism (there are two small bump stops that hold the sleeve in place).

When using the Equi-Ping for the first time we suggest you push only 2 of the arrowheads into the mechanism and slide the sleeve over. You can always adjust it to have 3 or 4 of the arrowheads pushed into place if you need more tension before it pings.

The leadrope can be easily pulled through the Equi-Ping and tied with a quick release knot.

If the horse should spook or panic for any reason approximately 80 kilos worth of pressure will open the unique mechanism helping to alleviate the horse’s fear of being restricted, which if allowed to continue can cause injury to the horse or equipment.

The Equi-Ping once opened can simply be re-attached to the tethering ring and the mechanism pushed back together for re-use with the security sleeve.

It is not recommended that a horse should be tied up directly by a bridle, bit or reins.

It is not recommended to leave a horse unattended for a significant length of time whilst tied up.

Where possible always tie your horse in a safe environment away from potential hazards that could harm it.

CHRISTMAS DELIVERY

Royal Mail strike action is having a serious impact on delivery times both with Royal Mail and other couriers. Other couriers are struggling with increased volumes as customers switch to them from Royal Mail.

DPD are temporarily suspending shipments to areas where they have large backlogs in order to clear them before taking on more parcels. For DPD orders, we will  try to book your delivery with DPD in the first instance. If we are unable to, we will try to book an alternative courier. If we are unable to find a courier for your order, we will cancel and refund your order and let you know via email.

We expect services to return to normal shortly after the Christmas period.

Delivery

We aim to dispatch all orders received before 2pm the same working day (with the exception of some items that clearly show a delayed dispatch notice on the product image).

The order may also be delivered to your place of work or left in a safe place at the chosen delivery address (safe place does not require a signature but is left at the customers own risk). Please be aware all DPD orders require a signature (or a photograph during COVID-19 social distancing) upon delivery, unless requested otherwise. Delivery charges are calculated on the delivery weight that we assign to a product. This may differ from the actual weight of the product, for example, in instances where the bulky nature of the product means increased postage costs apply. If there is no one in to sign for the delivery and a safe place has not been selected a card will be left and an automatic re-delivery will be attempted the next working day. If for a second time the delivery has not been signed for a second card will be left detailing how to re-arrange delivery. If no attempt is made to re-arrange delivery, the order will returned to us. If the order is returned to us after the second card attempt we will incur a charge which may be passed on to the customer.
