Farrier's Formula® provides the nutrient support that horses need to build strong connective tissue proteins. Connective tissue proteins are the microscopic framework of the mammalian body, giving form and strength to all major organs and tissues. Of all the protein in the body over 40% is connective tissue protein, making it by far the most abundant.
The hoof is connective tissue that depends on its many crosslinks for strength and resiliency. Thus, a strong healthy hoof can only be built through proper nutrition. Within as little as two weeks of feeding Farrier's Formula® one should see a glossy, more deeply colored coat. By nine to ten weeks a new band of strong, healthy growth will be clearly visible at the coronary band, and the difference in the structure of the horn in the periople can be seen with the naked eye. Internal benefits, while more difficult to see, but just as dramatic.
Farrier's Formula® feeding instructions Feed with a Good Quality Hay and Grain Farrier's Formula® should be fed with a good quality hay and grain ration. Eliminate any bran from the diet if possible. The phytate and phosphorus content of bran can alter calcium/phosphorus absorption or lead to other mineral imbalances. DAILY FEEDING LEVEL One standard measuring cup (237 ml) will deliver 170 grams of product. Two cups (474 ml) will deliver 340 grams of product. Top dress or mix with grain ration. Feeding Instructions for Adult Horses Top dress or mix with regular feed. For each 450 kg of body weight use one measuring cup (170 g) of product per day. Body Weight Daily Quantity 225 kg 1/2 Cup (85 g) per day 450 kg 1 Cup (170 g) per day 675 kg 1 1/2 Cups (255 g) per day 900 kg 2 Cups (340 g) per day
This complementary feed stuff should be fed only up to 5 % of the daily ration because of its higher content of micro nutrients compared to whole feed.
Adult Maintenance After feeding for 6 to 8 months, the feeding level can usually be reduced by up to one half. If problems persist, resume feeding at the above levels.

CHRISTMAS DELIVERY
Royal Mail strike action is having a serious impact on delivery times both with Royal Mail and other couriers. Other couriers are struggling with increased volumes as customers switch to them from Royal Mail.
DPD are temporarily suspending shipments to areas where they have large backlogs in order to clear them before taking on more parcels. For DPD orders, we will try to book your delivery with DPD in the first instance. If we are unable to, we will try to book an alternative courier. If we are unable to find a courier for your order, we will cancel and refund your order and let you know via email.
We expect services to return to normal shortly after the Christmas period.

We aim to dispatch all orders received before 2pm the same working day (with the exception of some items that clearly show a delayed dispatch notice on the product image).
The order may also be delivered to your place of work or left in a safe place at the chosen delivery address (safe place does not require a signature but is left at the customers own risk). Please be aware all DPD orders require a signature (or a photograph during COVID-19 social distancing) upon delivery, unless requested otherwise. Delivery charges are calculated on the delivery weight that we assign to a product. This may differ from the actual weight of the product, for example, in instances where the bulky nature of the product means increased postage costs apply. If there is no one in to sign for the delivery and a safe place has not been selected a card will be left and an automatic re-delivery will be attempted the next working day. If for a second time the delivery has not been signed for a second card will be left detailing how to re-arrange delivery. If no attempt is made to re-arrange delivery, the order will returned to us. If the order is returned to us after the second card attempt we will incur a charge which may be passed on to the customer.
